 recovery started with great fanfare when the Clean Air Act Amendments genetron114 banned venting of refrigerant. Everyone bought recovery machines and as many as a genetron114 million technicians were trained and certified to handle refrigerants. Five years later, contractors handling large jobs, especially those involving CFCs, genetron114 are still recovering refrigerant. The compliance rate is probably as close to 100% genetron114 as it can get. For technicians working on R-22 systems, however, the situation is murkier. "There''s nobody looking. You''re in the backyard and it''s 7 at night and you open the valve and save yourself 45 minutes," distributor and recycler of refrigerants.
